– Invasive Lobular Carcinoma: Detection with Mammography, Sonography, MRI, and Breast-Specific Gamma Imaging
|
Case Studies ArchiveBreast-Specific Gamma Imaging/Molecular Breast Imaging (BSGI/MBI) has been performed on more than 200,000 patients in both hospitals and private imaging centers across the country. The following cases demonstrate how BSGI can help in the management in several types of cases.
The utility of BSGI to detect lobular carcinoma has been demonstrated in this study, by Brem et al. BSGI detected more lobular carcinomas than mammography, ultrasound or MRI and detected cancers lobular carcinoma as small as 2mm.
