Breast-Specific Gamma Imaging/Molecular Breast Imaging (BSGI/MBI) is the “next step” after a questionable mammogram. BSGI is a nuclear medicine procedure that images the metabolic activity of breast lesions by utilizing radiotracer uptake and the high-resolution, anatomic-specific Dilon 6800® Gamma Camera.

The Dilon 6800 Gamma Camera uses advanced imaging technology that provides superior contrast for sub-centimeter lesions. The breast-optimized detector mimics all mammographic views, thereby providing physiologic data through images that directly correlate to the mammogram.

Design Advantages

Capable of multiple acquisition angles:
  • Duplicate standard mammographic views
  • Study selective “hard-to-reach” spots such as the medial aspect of the breast

High resolution:
  • Image up to the chest wall
  • Improves lesion contrast for detection of earlier stage cancers, as small as 1 mm as identified in clinical studies.

Portable and affordable:
  • Mobile system eliminates installation and facility costs
  • On-site placement for same-day diagnostic imaging
  • Compact detector measures 6” x 8” x 4” (15.24 cm x 20.32 cm x 10.16 cm)

Smart ShieldThe exclusive Dilon SmartShield®:

  • Increases lesion contrast
  • Immobilizes the breast to prevent motion
  • Eliminates shine-through
  • Evens the contour of the breast
  • Decreases radiation scatter
